I hold an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling from West Kent College and a Diploma in Supervision awarded by Wealden College. I am a UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor/Psychotherapist and an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I abide by the BACP's Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I am committed to broadening my skills and regularly attend supervision, practice groups and training courses. I am an experienced meditator involved for some years in training and practice in Mindfulness-based Counselling. Areas of Specialism I have seen considerable progress in clients presenting with issues including depression, family problems, disability, intimate relationships, self-harm, issues for survivors of sexual abuse, bereavement, anxiety, food, eating and body-image issues, life dilemmas, sexual identity, anger. Will it help you? There's only one way to find out -- come along and give it a try... I am experienced in working with the link between body and mind, feeling and thought, spiritual and psychotherapeutic. Personal Approach My Integrative training combined Person-centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt approaches to counselling providing me with a variety of skills and resources to enable clients to find their way to a more fulfilling life. I use a Gestalt Approach to counselling which can include Art Therapy, Object Work, Constellation Therapy, Dream Work, Movement and Sand Tray after discussion and agreement with the client. Some clients prefer to just talk and that is fine too. |
